The children have already started learning about some fascinating topics, such as plant nutrition and reproduction and Emperors and Empires. They are already developing enquiring skills that will help them with their independent learning.

Last week Maserati class used their creative skills to explore the beauty of nature by drawing and painting botanical art. They started with something as simple as an apple, studying its form and texture, then worked their way towards creating detailed botanical illustrations. In addition, the class, mixed and matched water colours to paint botanical fruit and flowers. Maserati have created a class gallery showcasing their wonderful pieces of art.

Maserati have started the year with a strong focus on place value—one of the most important building blocks of number sense. Through practical activities, and challenges, Maserati children are growing confident in understanding and using numbers, setting the foundation for more complex mathematical concepts to come.
