Extra Curricular Activities

Special Events & Educational Visits

Throughout the year, theme weeks are held such as Creative Arts Week, Fit & Healthy and Eco Week. This enhances the curriculum for children and places learning in context for them.

During Creative Arts Week, music, drama and art specialists are invited into school to work with the children.

During Fit and Healthy Week the children learn about the importance of exercise and a healthy diet, as well as participating in Sports Day.

During Eco Week the children attend a number of workshops designed to teach them about environmental issues both locally and globally.

Extra-Curricular Opportunities

We aim to offer after school clubs to all children from KS1 and KS2 at some point throughout the school year, depending on the availability of volunteers to help to run clubs. The range of these activities has included outdoor sports (football, tennis, netball), art, lego, eco and cooking. When clubs are available a letter is sent out to enable children to make their choices.
